UAE: What is the turnover limit for VAT registration? |
In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), businesses must register for Value Added Tax (VAT) if their taxable turnover exceeds a specific threshold
As of the latest guidelines, the turnover threshold for VAT registration is set at AED 375,000.
This means that if a business’s taxable supplies and imports surpass this amount within a 12-month period or are expected to exceed this threshold in the next 30 days, it is mandated to register for VAT and charge the appropriate tax on its goods and services.
Additionally, businesses with a taxable turnover below AED 375,000 may choose to register voluntarily if they wish to reclaim VAT on their purchases.
